Ruff Park Complex – Located off North Drive, at Litchfield Drive, Ruff Park is a 49 acre community park, with 12 lighted tennis courts, 2 playgrounds with ADA-swing, open game field areas, paved parking, and Herb Hays Pavilion, which is available for reservations and rental. ADA accessible with parking. Free Wi-Fi access available from HES EnergyNet.
Viewing locations are $30 for a 10′ x 10′ and visitors will receive 1 parking pass with each viewing location. Check-in opens at 6:00 a.m. CT. Upon check-in, guests can set up chairs, blankets, telescopes and any other items they would like to use to view the Eclipse. This viewing area will be equipped with permanent and portable restroom facilities as well as on-site food vendors. If reserving multiple viewing locations, they will be assigned together.

As the August 21, 2017 total solar eclipse travels along its center line path, Orchardale, Shepherd Farm awaits the eclipse’s historic visit. Located in Christian County, northwest of Hopkinsville, Kentucky, Orchardale, Shepherd Farm is within the point of greatest eclipse. The farm offers open acreage and a rolling hillside field with an elevated view. Large groups welcome.

When you choose to view the solar eclipse at HCC, you’ll have access to concessions, eclipse merchandise, indoor restrooms, air conditioned facilities, a variety of educational opportunities and an HCC Student Research Team satellite balloon launch into near space!
Hopkinsville Community College will be open on eclipse day from 7:30 a.m. – 5 p.m. HCC will offer a ticket holder an assigned campus lawn viewing area along with a paved parking lot space for vehicles having up to 4 wheels. Spaces are sold by the vehicle-load so the number of visitors per vehicle does not impact price. Large groups from educational organizations who will be attending in buses can reserve space for $150. These reservations must be made with Jeff Horton at (270) 707-3721 or email@example.com. Reservations are required since special parking, drop-off and pick-up procedures are necessary.
